Oscoda County District Library

History

The Oscoda County Library was originally founded in the 1940's by the Ladies of the Mio Study Club and Library Guild. The first library was located in Judge Sell's office. He graciously provide one  bookcase for library books.  Plus it helped his wife was a member of the Mio Study Club and Library Guild. The Library changed over time until 1964  when the Board of Supervisors passed a motion to create the Oscoda County Library.
